Abiola's message was HOPE ... what is the message for this generation?

Share:
24years ago today - JUNE 12, 1993 Elections proved that Nigerians can UNITE across religious & tribal lines IF the cause is great enough to CONNECT with our collective DNA - Desires, Needs & Aspirations.

MKO Abiola (a first-time candidate) running alongside Baba Gana Kingibe on a 'Muslim-Muslim' ticket was most unlikely to be accepted nationwide in a seemingly religiously-polarized nation.

That most northerners (even in Kano) did NOT choose their own son Bashir Tofa (of NRC) over a 'Yoruba' man speaks volumes of what can happen in Nigeria if the right CANDIDATE shows up at the right TIME with the right MESSAGE.

The truth is that Nigerians are more united than we are made to believe by those that profit and prosper from our differences & diversity.

I believe in a STRONG & UNITED NIGERIA; ONE NATION UNDER GOD where the cords of LOVE & POSITIVE VALUES  bind us with unbreakable cords of UNITY as we collectively seek to create OPPORTUNITIES FOR PROGRESS and PROSPERITY for ALL regardless of tribe and tongue.

Let the world be put on notice today. A GENERATION has arisen in Nigeria; an empowered generation that has overcome religious, tribal and social divides ... an excellent generation, strong and stirred, motivated and committed to build a New Nigeria that will be a most desirable nation to live in & work in, to visit & enjoy; a delightsome land that inspires the confidence of Nigerians at home and in diaspora to invest in building our own nation even ahead of foreign investors.

Nelson Mandela once said, "Sometimes, it falls upon a generation to be great. Yours can be that great generation. But you must let your greatness blossom".

I believe that GREATNESS HAS CHOSEN OUR GENERATION. We can no longer shy away from our divine mandate and responsibility to build Nigeria into what God designed & endowed it to be ~THE MOST DESIRABLE NATION TO LIVE IN BY WED DEC 31, 2025.

Destiny beckons on us. We must heed her call to ARISE & BUILD and together, Deliver The Future of our beloved nation.

May God bless our Federal Republic of Nigeria.
